The theme of this art project was to photograph the mascots or hood ornaments where found and then eliminate the noisy background by making it a solid color (in this case black.)  I also added a small icon view of the car the ornament was found on.  The theme uses a white faux mat so there is no need to add a real mat, just frame it.  Shown is just a small sample of the automotive mascots and hood ornaments I have photographed.  Some have been modified in the theme shown and many others are still in their native form.  The derivitave works shown are 5×7 photo size.  As the derivitive collection alone contains 136 different photographs and the native collection contains over 1,400 photographs it would be impossible to show all the versions on this site.  However, if you like this art and have a vehicle or vehicle family in mind that your interested in drop me a line using the “Contact” page on this site and I will let you know if I have anything.  Not shown, but available on request, the same images shown, in both 4 by 6 or 8 by 10 photo sizes.  To download, right click the image.
